Hi, I’m Lorna, a weight loss coach and personal trainer – although if you knew me a few short years ago you would have thought that weight loss and fitness were the last things I would have been involved with. I’d just had my second child, was 45 lbs overweight, and no matter which diet plan I tried, I always seemed to end up heavier than when I started.
Losing weight was never easy for me, even though I was constantly “on a diet” and exercising three and four times a week.
I’ve tried loads of different diet pills (most didn’t work for me), and loads of different diet plans – Florida diet, cabbage diet, the zone diet, south beach diet, low carb diets like Atkins – I’m sure you’re just as familiar with them as I am!
Finally I made friends with one of the Moms when my son started school, who just happened to be a dietician and health coach at one of the local fitness centers in town. She got me started on the right track to losing weight and changing how I think and feel about food and exercise. Finally I started to lose weight and wasn’t even following a diet at all. In fact I was eating pretty much what I wanted.
Once I’d reached my target weight, and had been stable there for 12 months, I decided I wanted to share what I learned and discovered from my friend with as many people as possible – so I started this website.
My hope is that you’ll learn how your body works in regards to eating and exercise, and how easy it actually is to lose weight once you really know all about it. I would also like to invite you to contact me any time you wish – whether you want to ask me a question or simply share some good news – either way I’d love to hear from you.
